Diva Do's and News for October, 2012
New From Distinctively Diva Press: The Daily Dance by Sandi Athey
Our own Diva, Sandi Athey has
written a new book, The Daily Dance: Your Guide to Life Happily Ever After . For years Sandi has shared her psychic talents with the
Diva community, helping us get 'unstuck' and discovering what is holding us back for having the life that we love. What you may not
know about Sandi is that she suffered a near death experience at the hands of a serial rapist. While on the other side, she saw
her attacker in detail and those details led to the conviction of the Route 29 Corridor rapist. Sandi had a long journey of recovery
ahead of her from both her physical injuries and the trauma. While on the other side, she received a gift of psychic abilities
which she has honed through study of the Native American beliefs and traditions, learning to live in harmony with Earth Mother and
clearing her body and environment of toxins with an organic approach to life. The Daily Dance is Sandi's philosophy and tips about taking back your life, one step at a time.
With the Universe as your dance partner,
renowned psychic intuitive, Sandi Athey
takes us on a journey to create a happy,
healthy and fulfilled life in The Daily
Dance, Your Guide to Life Happily Ever
After. Through fun and spirit led daily
reflections, Sandi takes you on a path of
self-discovery around the seven areas that
fill our lives with joy: connection, gratitude,
intuition, relationships, health, nature and
finding the sacred in life’s symbols. Sandi,
teaching from her own personal experience,
shows you how to take the important steps
to awakening your own inner psychic and
strengthening your intuitive connection to
Spirit and Earth Mother. When we begin
to live in balance with the music of creation
and understand that love and gratitude are
the keys, we awaken our own connection
to the great mystery of life. Whether you
choose the salsa, the tango or the waltz, The
Daily Dance keeps the beat to the rhythm
of your being and the sparkle of your soul.
About Sandi
Sandi is an actress, radio personality, and
intuitive psychic who is blessed with the
ability to tune into the big picture of the
Universe. Sandi’s psychic abilities developed
after an attack that left her near death and
severely injured. Through determination
and the power of love she danced with the
Universe and healed her body, mind and
spirit. Sandi uses her intuitive gifts with
her clients, both human and animal, and
teaches us how to embrace each day with
gratitude, joy and love.

It's October, Time to Think Pink for Breast Cancer
Have a Dessert Party!
It's easier than you think
to pull together a Dessert Fundraiser for Breast Cancer support and research (right click and select view image to see a larger picture). Here's how we did it:
Create a backdrop for your goodies. Find some cute fabic and cover a piece of insulation available at any home immprovement store.
Pull the fabric tight and pin it with some straight pins. Prop it up against the wall on any table and you have a dramatic setting for your table.
Make it fun! We purchased our pink flamingo (it's a lawn sign) and our pink flamingo picks at Oriental Trading.
Invite your friends. Pick up some blank printable note cards at your local office supply store. Leave the front of the card blank and print your party details on the inside right panel using the template for the notecard. I used the postcard template in Word. To create the front of your card, take a salad plate
and position towards the upper right corner of the front of the card. Trace a curve. Now cut the card on the curve and glue a 1 inch boa on the curve to create the illusion of a Diva!
On the front of the invitation, take 1/2 inch double sided pink satin ribbon (available at the fabric store) and fold it right over left and you have the Breast Cancer awareness signature pink ribbon. I used double stick tape to secure the ribbon fold and to put it on the front of the invitation.
Make or pick up a variety of mini desserts so your guests can have their cake and keep their figures!
I made the dessert cards using Avery business cards and purchased the damask name tag holders on amazon.card. Add the pink ribbons
For the favors, I used some diamond eggs I purchased at a dollar store and filled them with temporary tattoos. You can also download our I Am affirmations and print them on the same business cards. Pick up some business card magnets at the office supply store and have your guests choose the affirmation that's right for them today.
Collect donations for any organization close to your heart. Planned Parenthood provides screenings and help for low income women, so they
are always on my list!
Most of all have fun and give yourself a reason to get together with your girlfriends this month. Post your picture of your
party table on our facebook page so we can all see how amazing you are.
